What is “Documented Information”?
“Documented information” is the term that replaces the terms “documents” and “records” in the revised ISO 14001. It is defined as “information required to be controlled and maintained by an organization and the medium on which it is contained.”
Documented information includes information to guide how processes are conducted (formerly referred to as “documents”) and information that is evidence of results achieved (formerly referred to as “records.”)
